ALICE Training at CHS

Parents and Guardians,

Today during a special advisory meeting, we reviewed the ALICE protocols with all of our students. ALICE is a protocol which the Riverview School District has adopted in the event of a violent attack on our school. While this is very disturbing to even imagine, it is imperative that our students understand the protocol and are prepared in the event of an emergency.

ALICE stands for: Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate and is a widely adopted, effective method of active shooter response training. I encourage you to talk to your student about the training.

If you would like more information on ALICE, you can find the information on the RSD website under the tab Parents and Community, then pick Student Safety from the drop down menu. Or simply click here:

Respectfully,

Ray LaBate, Principal
