Graduation Practice and Ceremony

Reminder... Important Information about Graduation And Graduation Practice GRADUATION PRACTICE The MANDATORY graduation practice will start promptly at 9 a.m. on Friday morning at Overlake Christian Church. Seniors should be there by 8:45. Report to Room 2 on the 2nd floor. Take the stairs to the left of the main entrance and go all the way down almost to the double doors. The room will be on your left. GRADUATION CEREMONY · Seniors will sit in the front rows. · No family reserved signs are allowed on any seats. · Doors at the WEST lot (front) will open for family and guests at 6:15 p.m. · Please do not remove any reserved signs for performers, speakers, graduates, or staff. · The Ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. · Overlake Christian Church, 9900 Willows Road, Redmond · Diplomas will be given to the seniors in the center of the stage so the spotlight will be on one graduate at a time. · ALL seniors should report to Room 2 on the 2nd floor to line up for the ceremony by 6:15 p.m. · In addition, this will be the holding room for the graduates’ bags for Grad Night, purses, etc., and they must return to this room immediately following the ceremony to pick up their diplomas and belongings. · There will be a staff member to monitor the room; however, it will only be secured until 8:30 p.m. so pick up your belongings immediately following the ceremony. · It is recommended that parents direct their graduate to meet them at one of the following locations after the ceremony is completed AND after the graduate has gathered their belongings from Room 2: · Near the espresso stand on the bottom floor · At “Kid’s Town” about halfway down the first-floor walkway · At “Central Lounge” less than halfway down the first-floor walkway but before “Kids Town” · Seniors must be in Room 2 by 6:15 p.m. Please allow for traffic remembering it is a Friday night. · Some parking spaces will be reserved at the EAST lot (back) of the church for Grad Night Buses and buses for the CHS Band and Choir. (See Map) · No vehicles will be allowed overnight. · A detailed map of the facility can be found at www.occ.org. · Disabled Parking, Entrance and Seating: · Disabled parking will be on the SOUTH side of the building and vehicles must have an approved disabled parking sticker/placard to park there. There are approximately 15 spaces in this location. · Disabled guests may enter the church at 6:00 p.m. at the South entrance. · There will be a CHS staff member to assist the disabled through this entrance and with seating.
