Report Of a Threat on Campus

Today we were notified that there was a possibility of a gun threat on campus. The information came to us from students who heard a rumor. After the situation was thoroughly evaluated we determined that the threat was false, not credible or substantive. During the day the Duvall Police Department was on campus at all times while we evaluated the situation. We will continue to monitor this situation. At no time were students in danger.

Cedarcrest High School and the Riverview School District take all issues of this nature seriously and investigate these reports any time they are brought to our attention. We are thankful for our partnership with the Duvall Police Department and reiterate there was no threat to students on campus at any time.
